As we work to create a better experience for our community, we have found it best to break up groups by age for many reasons. We won’t bore you with all of them but here would be some of the difference you will see based on the class.
In the younger classes, kids will:
- Have canvas already traced on
- Focus less on technical aspects of art (shading, asymmetry etc.)
- Focus more on fundamentals
- Smaller projects
- More learning through play
- More sensory projects
- Focus on shapes, tools, primary colors
In the older group:
- Programs may work on longer term projects
- Touching on more complex topic around drawing and shading
- 2-d and 3-d approaches to art
- Required to drawing or trace onto canvas
